Our Story
Born in the heart of Washington, D.C., Everyday People Coffee & Tea represents more than just exceptional beverages—we're a movement toward equity, sustainability, and community.
In 2018, we founded Everyday People Coffee & Tea with a vision that challenged the status quo of the coffee and tea industry. As a Black and women-owned company, we recognized a critical gap in the market: consumers wanted to know their purchase made a positive impact, and farmers deserved equitable partnerships that valued their craft.
We built our company on a foundation of direct relationships with coffee and tea farmers around the world. By sourcing 95% of our products directly from the farms where they're grown, we eliminate unnecessary middlemen and ensure fair compensation reaches the hands of those who dedicate their lives to cultivating the finest beans and leaves.
Every cup tells a story of sustainable farming practices, ethical trade, and communities thriving because of conscious consumer choices. Our commitment extends beyond the farm to every step of production—from small-batch roasting in FDA-approved facilities here in the United States to packaging in sustainable, recyclable materials crafted by American workers.
